Gas pedal clicking when released

This morning I noticed that my gas pedal was clicking every time I let
off. When I got to work and the truck was off I tried again and it still
did it.

If I release the pedal normally it will make the click
but if I release it slowly it won't do it. It almost looked and sounded
like it was just the plastic pedal arm making contact with the housing.
Does anybody's do this too? Worse case is is I can take some mole skin
or something else thin and put it between the arm and the housing to
keep it from clicking since it has a sticky back and is really thin.
