Truck Is Pulling Both Directions Randomly

SSSilverado23

Question

My wifes 2004 Silverado 1500 is pulling to the right and left and random times. You will be driving and next thing you know its like someone grabs the steering wheel and turns it a quarter turn in either direction. Can scare you a bit sometimes. There is not other symptoms or noises going on. Any help would be appreciated!

Had an alignment recently?

I figured that it would only pull one direction if it was alignment. Didnt know it could pull in either direction all the time

Just a step to check. Something in the front end could be slightly off or hell broken. Is it 2 or 4wd

Its 4wd. There is no noises, clunks or anything coming from the front end. Just that. Its really strange.

Created account just to respond to this.

my '15 Tahoe LT did the same thing, but also threw the Stabilitrac errors. Turned out to be a right rear speed sensor going out causing stabilitrac to react improperly. $20 part.

Out of curiosity, were there any wheel sensor specific codes, or just generic Stabilitrac?

Also wanted to say it's too bad so many original posters leave us hanging. Another missed opportunity to learn.
