Velocity 22

My dream boat. Had an 87 bayliner capri that I restored and built a healthy 355 tbi engine. Some douche rear ended me on the way to the lake. Totaled the drive/transom.

Drove from Kansas to Maryland to pick up a 1987 Velocity 22. Runs but I'm not content until its mint condition. I began working on it and the wife decided a garage was necessary. After building the last boat and my v8 s10 in the driveway, I'm not going to protest. We bought our first house but now i'm stuck working on that. So the boat is on hold for now.

Will pick up on it here soon though. Here's some pics anyway.

Had to adjust everything about the trailer, replaced the weak noodle chains for some heavier ones, replaced the roller and wench strap. Re wired the trailer lights and soldered/heatshrink/rtv all connections. Changed the lights to LED as well.

I'm an electronics enthusiast and wanted to do something special for this boat. I decided to build an on-board micro controller to handle the accessories and lighting. It will interface with the ECM to give specific warnings when something is out of range, like temp, oil, battery.

Started to tear out the god awful wiring in the boat. Built some nice wire harnesses. And its in limbo now.

That will be fun at the lake once you get it finished and just like you want it. I'm with ya on being mint... my current boat is a 1989 19V Bullet that I completely tore apart last year and redid everything. It was in mint shape when I bought it, but I had to make it "mine".
