07+ Step Side Rails

So the front end caps are missing off my Step rails... they are the standard OEM GM step side rails... I tried ordering just the caps but my GM dealer told me it was all or nothing and spending 500$ on new rails seems silly. Any ideas?

I wonder who makes them for GM. If they are contracted out you might be able to find the manufacturer and get the parts from them.

 

Another thought might be to make some. If you could find some Corian (or similar product) in black you might be able to whittle some out. You can glue up for added thickness if needed and it can be worked with most woodworking tools.

Good news, I found GM part numbers GM# 19212311, need 2 sets each part number contains 2 caps, one front and one rear. The problem is GM discontinued them and all I can find is dealers who have 1 either front or rear cap in stock... so piecing them together has been a challenge but I have them! 33$ in all!
