1985 C20 350 Won't Start

I strongly recommend you dont use starting fluid on any engine ever. It can cause damage and no engine should need it to start.

 

Use brake cleaner instead (just make sure its the flammable kind, some are non flammable) Its easier on the engine, works just as good, and you can run the engine on it for several seconds without risking damage.

 

I would check your timing and firing order,

Timing chain could have skipped.

With as little info as we have, it's all just a guess.

 

And the list of junk that could be wrong is extensive.
