2006 gmc sierra 1500 slt haveing problems need help

i have a 06 sierra with the 5.3l and I installed a throttle body spacer and now my motor wont turn over and run, my dash lights aren't working, and I cant figured it out.....I even took the spacer out and my truck still wont start. I have done several motor swaps on trucks but this has me stumped anybody please help out, I need my truck work....

You uh, disconnect the battery?

Check battery connections, both ends of the cables. Check fuses in fuse panel in engine compartment. Does anything work? Headlights, interior lights etc?

Not sure why you would be adding a throttle spacer in, pretty sure if there was any advantage to be had by something so basic, GM would have happily put a spacer in to help in CAFE numbers.

i have an 06 gmc sierra with 5.3 and i cant get the truck to idle or stay running.. i turn the key and the motor cranks it idles for a split second before it dies on me.. i changed the fuel pump thinking that was the problem and it didn't fix it.... any ideas? the battery is brand new and the alt and starter are both fine

engine light on ?,if yes ,scan it for codes..

What he said. Plus, why did you change fuel pump? Was truck running before changing the pump? Does the pump actually pump fuel now when cranking over?

doug,,,people love to try and fix it with no idea what they are doing ,,,,,and when it doesnt fix it they come here ,,,,and give only half the story ,,,,makes me crazy lol
