I now laugh at puny engines like 302's, 305's, 350's, 351's, 360's, 415's, 440's, 454's. I still respect 488's and 496's though.

I can now speak to Allison on a one to one basis.

I still have to respect 3/4 and 1 ton trucks though. 1/2 tons are brothers. (Sort off)

All cars are puny. All 1/2 tons are punny. I have a button to turn on my brights on the floor.

Anybody care to guess what I'm driving now?

Hint: (The three major drivetrain components are engine, tranny, and axle)

it is not a 8.1 and allison cus he said it has a high beam on the floor that would be iether a old truck or a new big truck (bigger than HD)

If I laugh at 454's and respect 488's that means this thing is somewhere in between.

You now have the brand.

What auto tranny did that brand make that can go head to head with the allison.

Now, I have the same rear axle as thats brand's half ton trucks.

Put that combo together and you get????????

I'm not really sure, but you do have a Ford product. The 460 gives that away, but what is throwing me off is the rear axle part and tranny parts. ???

I am going to guess that you have a C6 automatic. It obviously doesn't have the 5 foward gears of the Allison, but it is probably the toughest auto tranny Ford made.

So my final uneducated guess is a F250 (not HD) with a 460 V8 and a C6 automatic.

Neither. Because paco and Kansas kid are answering in both places.

It has a 460, it has a C-6, and it has a Ford 9inch rear. It has the bright switch on the floor and it has a trunk. Sits fairly low to the ground and has 4 doors. 1978 ------- t-----r

I don't think I can say anything else without telling you. Besides the fact it's faster than my truck.
