Hi everyone, I will preface this with I have searched around for opinions about this but have come up empty. I recently got a 2014 silverado and I notice the spare wasnt the same size as the rest of wheels and tires. I have 265/65 18 on it and I did the math and they are close but not the same. A. is this a problem? B. I want to have a second spare cause I take several fishing trips to the north woods of maine a year. Would I be ok to find a 16 or 17 wheel and tire combo thats close to the same height as a spare or should I bite the bullet and get an 18 steel wheel and stock tire size.

Thanks

Mike

Its fine and normal. The spare on the trucks has been since the gmt900's a 17" spare even if you have an 18 or 20" rim. They size the tire to match. As long as you are running the stock tire size you should be fine with the spare under the truck.

It could be worse they could give you a can of fix a flat  (thats how my camaro is)
