Leveling Kit: Over or Under?

Looking to level my 2014 Silverado 4x4. Is there any real difference/benefit between the leveling kits that bolt onto the top of the suspension vs the ones that bolt onto the bottom?

Thinking about this one

They both do the same but the set that goes under the strut is a whole lot easier to install. The top spacer requires you to remove the whole strut and cut down the 3 bolts on the strut and then install the spacer. Go with the bottom spacer.

I have put many of the bottom spacers on different friends trucks and not one did I break the ball joints loose as they tell you in the instructions, I just loosened the sway bar bolts all the way up and put the spacer in but it did require a little prying down on the suspension, was able to do it myself without anybody helping.

I put that kit on mine. The seller is a member here. It was shipped fast, included excellent hardware, and was a breeze to put in. It might be a hair (1/8") under 2" but is exactly how I wanted my truck to sit. In my opinion the 2.5" kits might result in level fender heights but it appears to be the front is higher. This kit left about a half-inch of rake, front to back, which I think is perfect. It helps with mpg and also reduces strain on the front that can be caused by taller kits. This is mine on stock wheels/tires. My 20" rims and 285/55R20s will be here Friday.

I used the Rough Country under strut 2" kit on mine and I'm happy. As for the difference or which is better, the shock doesn't know if the spacer is above or below, so it doesn't make any difference. But the the under strut style is limited to 2" because of interference with the axle shaft.
