Black02Silverado Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 I was wondering if anyone out there knows of the software I can get to install in my laptop so I can hook it up to my truck and reprogram the computer. In other words, my laptop takes the place of the power programers that you pay a few hundred bucks for. Heck I got the laptops, 2 ea now I just need the software and cables to be able to hook up to the Silverado and start programing. I'm under the idea that there is some out there but I have no clue as to where to look. Also any ideas about it this is a good thing or not. I can't see buying the easy to use units if I can do it all with my laptops. Anyone, Anyone?
LarryE Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 It's called AutoTap not the cheapest in the world but it does wonders.. I think one of our PV Tbyrne Motorsports sales them
CMNTMXR81 Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 AutoTap is a read only program and only allows you to clear DTC's and turn off the MIL. He wants a reader and programmer. LS1Edit from Carputing right now is the best way to go in a PC format.
