Jump seat storage console

Is the jump seat storage console the same in terms of fitment and parts from the 2000 to 2006 model years?

 

Im about to buy one but I don't want the cloth lid that came in the early versions. I prefer the black vinyl like the one on my dads 2006 because it wears so much better. I use the lid as am arm rest and it looks horrible by now.

 

And not only that but it's broken so at this point its not even functional.

 

From what I remember the parts don't look all that different but I would like more assurance.
