2007 GMC Sierra 5.3L 180k miles
Got gas today, went to start truck and wouldnt start... moved a relay to the fuel pump spot and she started

Made it 3 miles down the road and it died... moved relay and it still wouldnt start... 20 minutes later i got it to start and it cut out again.

I under coated my truck last weekend ( air compressor to clean the frame of dust and dirt )

I will be getting under it tomorrow to take a look ( 2 codes P069e and P025a )

- Checking Frayed wires near drive shaft ( 13mm minimum clearence according to GM )

- Checking ground wires.

Anything else stupid i can check for before i go out and spend 500$ for a fuel pump and 200$ for control module?

Sounds like a fuel pump to me. Pretty common symptom, we have a lot of people get towed into our shop after filling up, then their vehicle wont start.

Don't know what it is about putting fresh gas in the tank that makes the pumps die but we get one every few months without fail with that exact story.

Found the problem. Fuel pump control unit. We went and got a new one and we left the old one on its side for no reason and water was pissing out of it...... Bringing to dealer Monday night so they can do a program on new control module. 100 for part 20 for running around gas and 100 for program. I can live with that. Was working intermittently before i took old module our
