Steering issue

2002 gmc 1500 4wd stock everything. Have a steering issue when turning into a parking spot at a certain point the steering wheel jerks all the way to full lock. I can feel the point where it wants to go to full lock, but can't pin point the problem. I can hear no noise. I replaced steering components due to wear ( tie rods, pitman and idler ) so that is new. Also replaced the steering box. Had 2 front end alignments. Truck does not have EVO on pump. Pulled axle shafts and inspected the cv joints they seem good. Only thing I can think of is ball joints binding? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
