Anybody know how to start the gm buy back ? I've had it with my truck. I've noticed others getting money back and getting a new truck. Just wondering how I go about this and the requirements? Thanks.

just go into your dealer and speak with the gm. tell him you want to see if you can get trade assistance. be nice and they should help you out.

That's exactly what I had to do. Your dealer is your best friend if you want to do it the easy way. There are 2 types of buybacks

1: Trade in assistance. (What I did) You have to have the service records however to support GM giving you 4-6k extra

2: Lemon law buyback. 3 or more times for same issue, more than 15 consecutive days(here in Fl), or 30 cumulative days in the shop. Then you have to contact the BBB, and go through the state district attorney.

Email Mary Barra. Thats how I got mine bought back.

If you do a lemon law you will NOT be entitled to factory rebates or pricing due to the law plus you will lose money for depreciation of mileage.

Get them to work with you and the dealer. The GM district manager of aftersales was assigned my case after I emailed Mary. They gave me what I owed on my truck including the negative equity from my 2012 I traded in. Came to 46k. Now the dealer I traded it to is selling it for 44k. Chevy will pick up the difference of the price given to the actual sales price. By working with GM if they do a trade you will be entitled to get the discounts available at the current time frame.

Keep in mind all these trucks are having issues. My 2015 has issues with the seat. It is also shifting around like my 2014 did. But I'm very pleased with how they treated me and the deal they made me.

Man, you first time posters are good at waking up dead threads. Hire you an attorney, get your paper work together, and contact GM.

That's what I'm asking is who do I contact and how do I contact GM
