EXT / XL Rear Seat Comfort Guides

Any EXT or XL owners had this TSB done or know what it entails?  It has to do with "Availability of Rear Seat Belt Comfort Guides".  Fortunately, my kids don't need them, but some cousins did, and they are not present.  The owner's manual and the sales literature show them.  The piece on the belt itself with a loop is present on all the belts, but the elastice cord with a hook, to attach to the loop, is missing on all seats.  It is supposed to be in a pocket attached to the seat back.

I haven't checked. My kids don't have a problem with seat belts. I guess I need to check and look in the owners manual again

I have not heard of that TSB, but on my '02 Trailblazer EXT the little hooks with elastic are there and my kids use them all the time.

These are present on my 2002 Envoy XL.  (Mine was a late pilot build vehicle, delivered in early April 2002).  We use them for my daughter, and her cousins and friends, that I haul around.  They position the belt in the correct location for 8-12 year olds (depending on height).

One other thing.  They are located in pockets that are on the SIDE of the seats.

Thanks everyone.  That is what the book shows as well.  My TB EXT doesn't even have the pockets on the side of the seatbacks where the little cord with the hook is supposed to be stored.

The TSB basically says that some early 2003 models were manufactured without the rear seat comfort guides.  The dealer can install some at customer request for $0.  The "fix" installs the guides to the plastic trim beside the seat instead of to a pocket on the side of the seat back.
