Question on adding interior footwell and exterior lights

So I have searched through all the threads but can't seem to find what I need. I am wanting to add interior footwell lights as well as exterior lights under each cab door but I only want each light to come on when that door is open. So the driver side footwell light would only come on when it's opened vs all the lights coming on when the dome lights is on. I know this is how the amp steps are wired but I csbt find the diagram for them either.

Here are the instructions for the AMP Powersteps. See note 14. It seems all 4 puddle lights on when any door is opened even though only the single step will swing down.

It uses the OBDII port for the actuation power, so good luck copying that.

that looks like a sh*t ton of work just to wire up some puddle lights!!! I would just run the lights to a power source and put some plunger switches in the door jams so when you open the doors the lights go on… seems lie a huge time savings and a lot less headaches!…… Old school always works!
