Bike/Cargo Box Rack

I have always had a roof rack on a vehicle. I do not however like the mounts that go into the door frame from Yakima. I was thinking about buying some of the permanent rails that can be installed on the roof, but putting them on the top of the bed rails. Has anyone ever done this?

Then I could use my existing bars and still have the bed available. Anyone done this?

I have been looking for something like this. But I want to use it with my RetraxPro bed cover.
