amperage guage?

Where does you battery guage usually read in normal conditions?

Mines been on the lower range of the "normal" section and that seems low

To me?? Thoughts?

I believe it's a voltmeter. It should read around 14 volts.

Negative. You ARE looking at volts, but it has at least 3 distinct operating modes depending on system load and ranges from low to high scale. Perfectly normal, several posts/threads regarding this behavior.
