My Snugtop Hi-Liner Sport that I special ordered is in at my dealer. I saw it today. It isn't going to look as sleek as a cab-hi, but it'll be more functional for my hunting and dog trips. It had the roof tracks and in-line tandem clothes hangars on the rear left side, side windows that hinge up as well as small slider side windows, and the fold down front window.

They hadn't had a mold for the K2 Hi-Liner until recently. I ordered and waited months for the mold to be finished at the Long Beach CA plant. My dealer is in Long Beach as well. I'll have them install it later in the week, maybe tomorrow. Then, I can fit up the Foxwing sunshade I got a couple months ago.

Look forward to see what it will look like on your white truck.

I went with an ARE X series. Ordered mine in late May and finally have it on for keeps as of last week. Sent it back to the factory twice for poor workmanship. The keyless entry still doesn't work! Regretting my brand choice, so hopefully yours is a better product. Hunted out of it last weekend and it sure does beat a tonneau!

Mine got installed today. Kinda ugly, but in a utilitarian way.

They're all at least "kinda ugly", at best. For me, function outweighs aesthetics in this category.

For years, I bought the sleek cab high type that had the flush frameless windows. Those look pretty nice, IMO. This time around, I wanted a higher roofline to allow for some 10" high bed drawers that raise the floor.

For a pickup that's going hunting or camping it's a no brainer. I would like to have one just for spring fishing/camping.

Are you going to put a dog box on top of the drawer?

I've owned the ARE Z-series cap and it was flawless. The keyless entry worked just fine and was very happy with the quality of the cap. Sorry your not happy with yours, but it does look good!

And congrats to the OP, your truck looks great with new cap too!

For the amount of times i DONT want a cap on the truck ( which has been once since i owned it ) I want one on my next truck...... spray in bed liner, cap, rug in the bottom. 90% of the use for us is groceries, moving toys around for the kids and going to "camp" ( if your from Maine Upta Camp is what we say ) it's an extra sleeping area, dry storage, organizing.... just makes the truck more useful and secure...

Build a small structure with some pullies to remove cap if needed and your good to go.

I took the cap off my 2008 once in 5 years and 140,000 miles.

I've had caps on my past 4 trucks. I have a hard time living without them. My daily use includes the some of the same routine you mention, minus the kids stuff. When I was doing horses, it enclosed saddles and other travel gear and was often a place to sleep. For many hunting trips it was a secure place for hunting gear and sometimes a sleeping shelter. These days, I have two bird dogs and travel long distances to hunt. A cap is essential.
