2012 3/4 Ton Suburban Steering

2012 Suburban 2500 with 100,000 miles. Power steering starting to groan at slow speed (mainly parking lot type) maneuvers. There is no increase in steering effort required when this occurs. Engine RPM is not related. I am hesitant to say that the pump is going since I am not seeing increased effort but I know the HD trucks have had several issues with P/S pumps.

 

Thoughts?

No, although I will likely flush it here soon at next oil change interval

What problems are you talking about. I have zero issues with my 2001 3/4 suburban, and my current ride a 2006 3/4 silverado have had zero issues with the p/s. Please elaborate.
