I like my iPhone but, I don't have deep enough pockets to pick up a mac laptop. I am in the buy a cheap laptop on sale crowd, I went too cheap on the current one but, I think we paid like 300 and it does most of the stuff we need only complaint is the keyboard kinda sucks and the speakers and sound card are terrible.

Well...after.some thought, I'm going to buy a cheap pc laptop and just keep it for finances. I'll keep it off the net and only connect for Bill paying.

If you have software cd's, I would wipe the bloat ware off the pc and just have a few dedicated programs installed. And really, not sure why people still pay for anti virus but if you wanted, two good ant virus programs, free btw, are Avast and AVG.

I have and use both platforms in my studio. They both have advantages and disadvantages. Just go with what your comfortable with. You can't go wrong with either. I'm highly considering a surface pro 3 fire my kids though. Seems to be a good machine.
