K2XX Brake controller install

I already have the hitch and 7 pin round/4 pin flat box on the bumper. Am I correct in thinking that the box just behind the emergency brake contains a connector to hook the trailer brake controller to?

If it's anything like my '06, yes. There should have been a harness with the truck if not get one from the dealer. Attached to it should be a picture of exactly where you need to plug it in and what ever else you need to do.

The K2XX requires a separate harness to allow aftermarket brake controllers to be installed. GM part # 23184088

you are correct. I just went ahead and got mine from etrailer. The longest part of the whole job is deciding were to mount it. LOL
