when you build a new 2015 Sierra 25HD DC or CC the SLT does NOT include:

 

leather bucket seats and floor console - it's now a $375 option, and the heated (& cooled/new offering) seats are and additional $650,

& rear park assist (new front offered) is part of the Driver Alert Package for $1870 for all 3

 

and the polished wheels are add $135, no more ajustable pedals avalibale

 

The Nav radio went from $2250 & $450 for the back up camera, to $495, but Bose is now a $500 add as well

 

These were all part of the SLT of earlier models (some other stuff as well) kinda confusing ...

 

 

So you could see a SLT on the dealer floor and think like last year it has the same highest option package - NOT - and could end up with a SLT with a cloth bench seat (not heated), just a plain jane radio, cheep wheels & without the other former bells and whistles ...

 

the snow prep package has upped the ALT output to 220 AMPS - up from 160 amps - wow - big power - don't touch that with a wet hand

 

the 1500 options packages are different from the 2500 ...

 

confusing - better look closely when buying

Isn't the 40/40/40 on 2500 SLT leather, rather than cloth?

 

JF4 Power adjustable pedals are standard on 2015 2500 SLT.

PYR Chrome aluminium wheels are standard on 2015 2500 SLT.

KHB Dual alternators still available on duramax, in case the 220 amp is not enough.

I couldn't find the std SLT wheels or adj. pedals -

 

like I said I find the web site a bit confusing ...

 

not sure why the 1500's are option packaged differently (when I compared), were they that way in former years ... ?

 

If I worked at a dealership I'd have a bit more knowledge ... seems the dealers salesmen are less informed than me ... when I ask questions

Ford has been offering a leather bench seat as standard on the F-150/Super Duty for years, buckets are optional. Some people actually prefer a bench seat (I'm not one of them)

 

"Heated driver and front passenger seating" is standard on Sierra 1500, 2500HD and 3500HD SLT models. Heated AND cooled front seats ARE optional. Heated AND cooled seats are standard on Denali trim, this was the same on the GMT-900 trucks.

 

GMC INTELLILINK is standard on SLT trucks, so no you won't see an SLT with the cheap radio, it'll have the same 8" Diagonal Color Touch Screen just without the Navigation capabilities.

 

Power adjustable pedals are now standard on SLT trucks as already noted.

 

Wheels, 18" (45.7 cm) chromed aluminum are standard on SLT trim, the new 2015i 20” chromed aluminum wheels are a $795 option, the old Wheels, 20" (50.8 cm) polished aluminum (carry over from the GMT-900) are a $450 option.

I have a late in the model year truck and there are several features I really took for granted that my dealer-located SLT did NOT come with: heated steering wheel; park assist; and a full center console. I'm not sure who ordered the equip on my truck originally but now I wish I would've looked closer at the full range of options. It was last day of the month and the truck was priced right. Oh yeah...It also has nav which I really never wanted. I would trade that nav unit for park assist, center console, and heated wheel in a heartbeat!!! Other than those three "shoulda/coulda/woulda" I'm pretty much happy with my Sierra.

I just realized this thread is about 2500's and I'm not sure if this is true for 2500's as well, but the 2015 1500 SLT's started production with an optional 20"chrome wheel, and about mid October it was changed to a polished version (like the Yukon wheel).

 

The SLT 20" wheel RPO was NZM '20" chrome aluminium' and was replaced with RD5 '20" polished aluminium'. As stated before, it appears to be the same casting with a different finish. It appears to be the same casting as used for the All terrain wheel - NZH 20" Ultra bright machined aluminium with argent painted accents.

Be sure to look at the Distribution Updates -- gives an idea of how often they change things and therefore how hard it is for the dealer staff to keep up on all the changes.

Silverado has WT, LT, LTZ and High Country.

 

Sierra has Base, SLE, SLT and Denali.

 

SLT GMC is equivalent to a LTZ Chevrolet.

If I remember right, GMC used the SLS trim in the early 90's on the GMT-400's. It was the basic trim, equivalent to a Chevy WT at the time. They also used the SL trim, in the late 90's and early to mid 00's. It was also the basic trim.

 

SLE is the mid range trim, equivalent to a Chevy LT. Chevy no longer uses LS as a trim level, although I believe they still offer the LS package which includes power windows, locks, OnStar and other features on WT trucks.

 

High Country is Chevy's top of the line truck, and Denali is GMC's top of the line.

 

SLT is a step above SLE, heated leather seats are standard, remote start is standard, power adjustable pedals are standard etc. Chevy LTZ is the same as a GMC SLT equipment wise.
