Question bout encoder motor

Does a new encoder motor for transfer case come with a speed sensor ring? I called my local oreillys and they said no but I thought the speed sensor was built into the encoder motor and had to be split apart to replace one.7c8ce19636125bbb8c6325be53a3e68a.jpg

Thanks for clearing it up Rob... I thought they could be done separately but wasn't sure. Mine was 100% cooked so the whole thing was replaced.

Okay guys thanks very much as im about to buy the whole thing as a precautionary so I don't have to crawl under and replace again if it turns out to be the speed ring sensor. Fyi I love how this forums is so attentive and quickly responds. thanks again folks

Update: Worked like a charm! Got my enecoder motor delivered yesterday and installed this evening and it worked as should. I did not remove the front driveshaft and reused the gasket. Thanks
