Which muffler would you choose?

Well, I've been looking for about an hour at the previous posts about mufflers.  And now I am completely confused about what would suit me best on my 97 Truck.  I plan on just replacing the muffler and tip, keeping the stock pipes.  I currently have a Borla 2.5" Inlet/outlet muffler, with a Flowmaster Y pipe to connect it.  Some posts I read complained about the resonance inside the cab with a similar setup.  I talked it over with my wife and she "asked" that it not be too loud inside the cab.  So then I thought about a Flowmaster 70 series, but it may not be loud enough for me outside.  Then there's Magnaflow.  These are probably the 3 choices, Borla, Flowmaster or Magnaflow.  I would like it reasonably quiet inside, but with a nice mellow tone outside, not wake the neighborhood up loud.  Hope you all can help me decide! I know this will start trouble, but I personally had more than one bad experience with the Flowmaster. I had it on a 98 Tahoe and a 96 vette. Both had so much resonation, that I had to take them off.

Many people LOVE the Flowmaster though, they sound great on the outside.

I am leaning toward the entire catback this time. I did that on my current vette, and I am pleased. I went with Corsa  www.corsaperf.com   And I love it, but it is pricey.

Good luck,

I had a Borla cat-back on my truck, wayyy to quiet inside so I took everything from the muffler back and put elbows on the muffler. Now its good. :werd:

for your situation i would run a dual in single out flowmaster 50 and reuse the y pipe.  Im the kinda person that likes to wake up the neighborhood.....thorley long tubes, no cats, dual 40 series flows and spintech X pipe.  I think that might be a little loud for you though. good luck
