Broken front axle?

My 2007 Silverado Classic had 88K miles on it last year when my left front wheel area would squeal only when I would press on the brake and stop when I turned the wheel, so I thought it was just my brakes. This went on for about a week and I was taking the off ramp at 55mph when the steering wheel started shaking real bad and the squealing was so loud as I hit the brakes the left front locked up and I sled to a stop, thank god it was raining and the road was slick. The left front tire was hanging out of the wheel well.

Turns out the wheel bearing was froze solid and the driveshaft bent. I had it towed to the warehouse where I work at. I replaced the bearing ($180) and the driveshaft ($125) and while i was there I replaced the brakes ($35) all from Napa and did it myself. With the help of YouTube I did it in about 3 hours! My local Chevy dealer said $2200 and up to fix. HA
