If your truck were to be reprogrammed, it would perform as the details in post #2. Below 50 degrees it will do its own thing, above 59 degrees it will do its own thing, and between those two temps is the only time it will revert to the last known settings. Also,after turing the key to the on position after a remote start it will revert to last known.

15HDriver and Silverado-Hareek...Thank you for this information. Had mine updated today. When I set up the appointment with my dealer, I stated, "HVAC issue remote vehicle start does not turn on A/C or heat whenever dual zone auto (RPO CJ2) is not on. I understand there is a calibration, PIT5240B, that may address this."

My Service Writer and the tech both appreciated the information. Tech confirmed there is indeed this update, applied it, tested it and provided a copy of the PI so that I would know how it now operates. With tires rotation, in and out in 2 hours.
