Which fender flares to go with?

Hey guys I plan on buying some fender flares this spring for my truck. I'm between the Bushwacher pocket style and the EGR brand. I like the Bushwacher but they are so $$$. What do you think?

Also I plan on installing 285/70/17 tires and AM rims with a 2 inch RC level kit, will the tires rub the fender flares in the front? My rims will have a -12offset.

I like the bushwacker flares.

I would venture to say your tires will rub with the -12 offset on the inside corners, I'm not 100% on that though. You may get away with a small trim job. I lifted my denali 5" in the front and had to trim with 33" tires and -4.75 offset rim, your truck should be higher from the factory though,.. You are going with a bit smaller tire so you may be ok, I'd use a reputable rims and tire dealer and see what they say. I was told I could use stock rims with my lift and tire size, that didn't work out. The tires rubbed the ball joints to the point I couldn't turn left or right more than a half steering wheel turn.

Let us know what you find out..

You sure u want em. Do you know the long term effects? Water, dirt, mud, salt gets behind there and causes it to rust behind them since u cant wash there

The wheel flares have gaskets on them so water, salt, and dirt don't get behind them

You can try for Bully Fender Flares & Trim.It delivers on all four corners without overpowering the subtle factory style. You will get good results, and it is in your budget.

I ended up purchasing the EGR pocket style flares. I found out that they are the ones GM dealerships install when you purchase from them or add that option. I've always heard EGR and Bushwacker are the same quality and I figured if GM puts them on the exterior then they must be a good product.

Bushwacker is expensive but you will be pleased with its quality. You can PTM your fender flares to look better on your rig.
