I was reading that last night at the Montreal Hockey game,I think they were playing the Rangers. Most of the crowd booed during the playing of the USA's national Anthem. I know people have their opinion on the conflict with Iraq but I find that uncalled for. Protest if you want thats your right but you don't have to be disrepectful Just my feelings  :chevy:  :flag:  :flag:  :flag:  :flag:

I'm a canajun, eh. From the West Coast. Lots of folks in the world aren't on side with the whole Iraq thing. However, the majority of us respect that there are a lot of American, British (and a few Canadian) soldiers over there and some of them are going to die before this is done (not to mention some civilians, too). God rest their souls. It was not in good taste to put down your anthem or your country. I sincerely hope it doesn't happen again. Please show that you are bigger than this and try to avoid tossing insults back at Canadians. I understand if you feel that is not possible but please believe that many of us are not cool with what happened at that game, either.

Peace. :flag:

Anybody keeping up with the Wayne Gretsky thing.  He came out and said he thought George W. is a good Pres. and the next day there was a sign on his statue in Canada bashing him.  Then he said, why do people care what I or other celebrities say anyway, there are other things we should worry about.

I thought it was pretty bad, since he's so revered up there.

I have met many of my northern friends while camping.  Most know and are thankful that America has done what it has for them and respect the freedom  and security that America provides to them. And are good folk. They know that without the USA Canada would be speaking Russian.  The USA has earned and deserves Canada's respect. Where would Canada be without us?

Most of the  rude Canadians I have meet  and ran into are them French speaking ones.  But all in all the ones I meet camping have been decent folks.

Red Green just kills me, I try and watch his show every week. He is a hoot. He seems OK.

I also hear Canada is providing to the Irqa war, 2 battleships, 40 tanks, and 10,000 troops.

But..after the exchange rate it came out to be a 2 row boats, 3 horses and 5 mounted police.

Had to do that guys.

On fox this morning a canadian politician apologized for his fellow countrymen.  He also issue some advice for them to think about what they are booing before they act.

Most of the people have heard slamming the war effort have not been overly educated on what they express such strong aversions to.

I for one support the US and UK in the conflict in Iraq and feel that Canada should be involved in the conflict.  The way the fans acted in Montreal was disgusting.   I know there are those against the war in but you do not have to insult an entire nation by being disrespectful.  As a Canadian I expect better behavior from fellow Canadians.   I understand the anger in seeing your flag burned and hearing your anthem booed and I am sorry these idiots caused such anger.   I remember the anger I felt in the early 1990’s at the World Series in Toronto when the U.S. honour guard raised the Canadian Flag upside down at the opening ceremonies.  I also remember the distaste in hearing how the U.S. Women’s hockey team used the Canadian Flag as a carpet to wipe their feet on during the Winter Olympics.   I only use these examples to point out that there are idiots on both sides of the border and hope to point out it is only a select few that are so rude and disrespectful but the actions of the few seem to reflect on the majority of us.   (just my 2c worth that would be $1 U.S.)
