Flowmaster Super 40

Has anyone done a direct swap of their stock muffler with a flowmaster super 40 on a 2014 Silverado 5.3? Don't want to do a catback, just the muffler.

I did it on my 2010 4.8L Silverado LS. I bought the super 44 series though. The 44 has a deeper meaner tone. Loved the crap out of it.

What I would warn you against is if your truck has that active fuel management. When it switches to 4 cylinders your exhaust might sound like a Honda...

Did this on my 2014, cut out the stock muffler and the flapper, and cut out the resonator and replaced with a straight pipe. Love the sound, not too loud but aggressive and low tone, hardly any drone, and quiet in the cab. A lot of guys complain about the v4 chopper sound but I hardly notice anything, I think having a chambered muffler helps.
