v6 4.3 Idles way to high when first started

Today I started my 2002 sonoma up and noticed the idle was so high that the RPM's were staying at 2000 and when I put the truck in drive i could spin my tires without even touching the gas, it was icy in my drive way. The most recent thing that I have replaced was the throttle postion sensor, I replaced it with a cheap one off of ebay. Could this be my problem? although the engine will idle high like that every cold start it eventually drops down to 1 rpm and then maybe a little lower to normal and eventually evens out and runs smooth and normal. I dont get any check engine lights. What do you guys think?
