Replacing 4.2" Radio/Screen with 8"??? 2014 Silverado

Can I buy an 8" oem screen and plug it right up or will the harness/software be different? Any info on what all is involved would be much appreciated. Searched this site for prior posts but to no avail. Thank you in advance.

Yes it will fit in, the connectors are the same but you will need to have the HMI module programmed which the dealer cant do. The only person who can is Chris White industries if memory serves me right. One of the members on here just did the change recently.

I'm going through this myself right now and you need to contact Mvi they send it to Chris white you can't drive your truck while they do one option the other option and it will cost you more is they send you a module you send yours back either way they can make it work
