Rearended last night at at stop light - how bad does it look?

So last night I was at a stop light about to start moving (maybe going 2-3 mph) and got rear ended. The guy said he was going about 45, looked down and then was on me. He hit the brakes about 10 ft from me so I would estimate he probably hit me going 30-35 mph.

Things I know for sure: need new bumper, hitch, tailgate (won't open), passenger side bedside (bumper punched a whole in it), bedcover is messed up and won't open and the frame is bent at the hitch mount on both sides. I don't know if the leaf mount is bent or not though.

My questions are - is this easily fixable? Will they skin the passenger side bedside and reattach or will they replace the whole bed? I have line-x so I'm not sure. Plus since I can't open my tailgate I would assume that the whole bed isn't square anymore.

The first picture is a side view of the bumper and the second is the driver's side frame rail at the hitch mount. I'll get one of the passenger side but the frame is bent more on that side.

He was in a little 4-door Honda or something. Every one of his airbags deployed (side-curtain and all). There is no other damage to the truck other than what is in the pictures (no airbag, etc).

The ball mount tore it up too.

It's hard to tell if the frame's been tweaked or not... A DECENT body shop will be able to take the necessary measurements.

Probably just tweaked the mounts for the bed a little and taking it to a frame shop should put every thing back in shape pretty easily. The frame shop should charge less than a $1000 to do it, maybe $500 or so. Definitelyu hit the insurance company full bore though.

I plan to. I'm having the local gm dealer do all the work. I know the service and body guys there. Plus I want all GM parts used.

Doesn't look too bad, replace the bumper and the hitch and pull the frame and align to measurements. Most of the time it hits the bedsides do you see anything on them.

I'm going to try to make them replace my bedcover too. It won't stay shut. It definitely needs a new tailgate too. I'm going to have them color match the rear bumper at the same time.

I just hope he calls his insurance quickly if he hasn't already.

I thought you give his info to your insurance and then your insurance company gets their money from them ,

He doesn't have to call them at all except a to tell them he cracked up your truck

I contacted his insurance company yesterday morning. He had filed a claim but they had me listed as "unknown" since they didn't have the police report yet which is why I hadn't heard from them yet. I got a call a few hours later from the adjuster and he came out and looked at my truck (they moved quickly!). So now just waiting for the estimate and then I can schedule my truck at the Chevy bodyshop so they can order parts and get started. They said it should only take 4-5 days once they receive all the parts.
