Anybody see that truck?

Not to long ago someone posted a pic. of a full size 4wd ext.cab. It was two tone white and either pewter or charcoal. I'm pretty sure the truck was lifted and I was almost positive the thread was about painted fender flares, but I cant find it in a search.

 

Anybody remember it?  ???

I remember that pic and I did a small search on the word "flare" but gave up trying to find it.  I remember everything except where it is...  I know the truck looked nice though...

All I remeber of the thread is whoever the truck belongs to said "well I just added (blank) or I just put on (blank)." Maybe it wasn't fender flares but I know truck had them on there and they matched the two-tone.  

 

I just really wanted to see that color combo again because I really liked it which is strange cause I'm not fond of white.

 

Oh, well it'll turn up sooner or later ;)

I've seen the white over pewter with the pewter flares in person, and it is one of the classiest color combos I've ever seen.  The other nice combo is Indigo Blue over pewter with matching flares like Tbyrnes Blown BigBlock Suburban.

 

Newbie has the white over pewter combo on his GMC but he was too cheap to buy the flares....

The truck I'm thinking about is white with either pewter or gray two-tone.

 

Could have been Newbie's I'm not sure I,ve seen his. But I'm thinking it may have been an HD.

HD's aren't available in 2-tone configurations, so it would have to have been a custom job or a "photoshop" job.

 

I think the pic I remember is of a white HD where he painted the black flares to match.  And then the topic wandered from there.

The reason I was asking is. I found a used '01 HD 8100 set up just the way I want but its white and the dealer said something about painting the bottom either gray or pewter and I thought if I could get him to do the flares too that would be pretty cool

If I understand correctly, the plant that builds all the crew cabs is in Flint, Michigan.  And that plant has never done two tone paint jobs, hence the reason you can't get two tones on the HD's.

Have you seen the pics of Tbyrne's Blue over Pewter 2500 Suburban?  He had the 2-tone painted on his truck along with the flares.  Check it out on his website if you haven't seen the pics yet.  He has a link on the left of the page under preferred vendors.

My truck is white and pewter without the flares.  You can click on www.picturetrail.com/rahopkinstrucks to see it.  I have seen two 2500LD's in this paint configuration and they were the prettiest trucks I have ever seen.
