Rim offset question.

Hello all, new member posting here so I apologize if it's in the wrong section or anything like that. My question is related to rim offset, I am in a 2012 silverado 1500 Z71, with a 2" leveling kit. I currently run a 285/65 bfg AT's on the stock 18" rim with no clearance issue at all. I am looking at a set of 18x9 aftermarket rims with a -12mm offset that I would like to be able to use with the same bfg's. I'm just not sure if I would have any trouble with clearance with that offset or if those tires would even sit right on a wider rim, to my knowledgetting the stock rim is 18x9 but I might be wrong. Any one with some advice on any foreseeable problems or am I good to go?

Discount Tire told me that I can run a -12 offset on my 2008 gmc sierra with a 2 inch level kit no problem. 285/70/17 is my size. I was looking at a set of XD Series rims for my truck. How do you like those BFG's? I can't decide between Nitto Terra Grappler M/T and the BFG KO2's.

Thanks for the Reply. So far I like the Bfg's pretty good. There not the best heavy duty mud tire because they don't self clean very well but there awesome in the snow or on trails and really good on road as far as noise and ride quality compared to other AT/MTs. If it wasn't my daily driver I would have gone with somethimg more aggressive though.
