trailer wiring plug adapter...

just got a '03 tahoe in the family and need to find some adapter to change the round style factory trailer light plug to a standard 4 pole plug found on most common trailers. any takers?

Wal-Mart, Auto Zone, Checker, etc....Any of these should have one.

 

Or you can just stop by any U-Haul store, and they will be sure to have one.

I think I bought mine at Walmart.  The '01 models didn't come with them, but my buddies '02 HD had one in the glove box.  I don't know if the '03 models had them, or if the previous owner of the Hoe kept it.  They aren't expensive, so i guess you'll need to make a trip to Wally World.

I would ask the dealer for one (free).   Hey, you just bought a $40k+ vehicle from them!

 

If they wont give you one, that might be something you want to remind yourself the next time you buy a vehicle.

 

Otherwise, as others said, carry $8-$10 to Wal-Mart.

If you ever plan on pulling a U-haul trailor I would get one from U-haul because if you don't have one of there connector there trailers will not work, but there connector will work with standard 4 plug connector.  I had one that I bought from Advanced Auto it works fine for all trailers except for U-hauls.
