tail light swap

I have a 2006 gmc sierra and I want to put the Silverado tail lights on so I was wondering how hard it would be to wire up because I noticed a difference in the wiring

I'm following this as I want to do the same thing. I believe there is just 1 connector that is different, but I have not seen it.

If you go with aftermarket replacements, most come with the harnesses. They plug directly in to the box on the frame and replace your current harnesses for each side.

What about if you were to install factory Chevy tails?

Get the harness or get the correct sockets and splice. I went aftermarket because it was cheaper and easier. Off the stock GMC harness, you wont have the side marker that the Chevrolet has.
