Bully Dog Programmer #40417

I finally got around to installing my Bully Dog Programmer #40417 Today. but after the download and install into the truck, the truck willn't start, so i unistalled the programmer and then reinstalled it and still nothing, i guess i might be on the phone tomorrow with technical support about this, has any one had a problem with there programmers or have heard of any one having any problems

i had to uninstall the programmer and take the programmer to my laptop and download the programmer on line to match my trucks year model and engine ect, redownload it and it worked, but I used it for a couple of months and took it out, I seen no difference in have it and not having it, I would suggest getting some thing different, mine is sitting in my junk drawer not being used,

good to know, did you adjust shift firmness? that's my main complaint about my 14. I have sock height (much wider) tires on my truck

the transmission tunes are canned tunes, you just download what they have and that it, can't change any thing on it, there is more then 1 tune for the transmission I just used 1 of them, after I get my gears done I'll probably install it again and then try more then 1 transmission tune to see which one I like,

I know they are canned tunes but they advertise much quicker firmer shifts with the "performance" mode selected... (if I understand the literature correct). Is this something you noticed or did your oversize tires completely mess up your shifting?

i didn't notice it, but probably because of my tires, after I get gears it might be a difference

37" tires, once I get the gears replace with 4.56 it should bring my truck down close to stock and then maybe the programmer will be better on my truck, with my truck not being able to stay in 6th gear and in and out of 4th and 5th with what I have I think programmer is fighting with my transmission thinking I'm I'm gunning it all time when I'm not,
