Rail car tracking number

GM Chat gave me my status code yesterday (4800), so not sure why some are saying they stopped giving it. I think it really comes down to who you end up chatting with.

Interesting.

Just an FYI, in order to track a vehicle on the rail you need 2 pieces of information: The rail car #, and the automated rail car phone #.

I have the phone #, but getting the railcar number requires you get the info from the dealer that is in gm global connect. It is on the same page that shows the status code of the order. I was able to track my truck but that was over a year ago!

Hasn't changed. The rail number and carrier info is on the order workbench which every dealer has and I always request. I also have the automated phone number so I can trace.
