Resetting?

I am still having a weird start issue that I want to try and resolve with disconnecting my battery to let everything reset.

 

My truck is a 2011. Will I experience any issues afterwards? I do not want to do this only to find out the truck wont start due to some special GM process that I do not know.

The only real issue you will have is you may lose your pre-set radio stations. This may also reset your PCM/TCM to default or base settings. As you drive afterwards, it will re-learn your driving habits. This is actually what you are wanting anyways I think.
