Opening Silverado Headlights

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hello,

I saw mike1220's lights and wanted to know if anyone knew or actually opened the Silverado headlights. My plan is to buy ledconcepts halo rings and install them into the headlight housing, and get the bluetooth controller. Not sure if I am going to bake the lights or cut them. Let me know if anyone saw a video on it or has experience in doing it.

Thank you,

-Dylan B.

They are likely permasealed like the Sierra. Many resort to cutting them open, but that's not required. If you bake them at 225 for 8 minutes they will eventually open. Just be gentle and pry little by little. I got about a minute or two of prying before I need to reheat. I had to reheat them for 8 minutes each time for a total of 5ish? times before they were completely apart.

Baggedlvintegra did a write up a while back on how he opened and painted his headlights on his Silverado. He baked his open.
