Black02Silverado,

What results are you seeing from using the 0W30 AmsOil?  I've used AmsOil 5w30 for years and have never had the guts to use the 0W30.

Since I have been using it from the start after the factory breakin. I really don't have much to go on other than I have been getting 17.5 to 18.3 mpg on a regular basis. Now that is four lane running from here to work and back on a 20 mile one way trip. Very little city driving except for the 8 lights I hit once I get to work.  I like running it and have taken trips to Orlando in July with it already. The big benefit is in the winter with the extra protection on start up. Other wise 5w-30 is just fine for 40 and above weather.  I have a few more miles till I take a sample and have it sent to Blackstone for a reading. Once I do I will post it on here.

So the extra protection in the colder weather, possibly more mileage on shorter trips due to the fact that your oil doesn't get up to temp on short trips.  Less strain on the starter and battery due to easier cranking. That is what I feel I get from using it.

0, 5,10w-30 are all the same in weight, ie 30 weight.  It is the extra additive package in them and the way they are blended that makes them  work different in the colder temps and allows for less resisitence. The lower the first number the better the cold weather protection.
