Suburban 2007 ltz drivers seats

I own a 2011 silverado ltz with bucket seats and they are wonderful, a lot of comfort...

I just bought a 2007 14k miles suburban Ltz with the very same bucket seats, but i just can't adjust it the way i can on my silverado...

The head room is so small on this suburban! Both have sunroof ...

Is there any complaint on the 2007 models seats?

I am 6'1 and 200 pounds...

I'm 6' 2" and I love the seat in my '08. I just spent most of 16 hours in it on Saturday and I feel fine - no aches or stiffness anywhere. I also have the sunroof, and I've got a little over an inch between my head and the roof. I have a long torso - I wear 32 inseam pants - so I'm probably up higher than a typical 6' 2" person..

I found the problem, the tilt motor responsible for the back of the seat is not working, I believe it is the shaft, control switch or something else...

I Will try to adjust it manually after removing the seat...

Has it ever happened to any one?

Finally solved it.

Took the seat off the cabin, started analyzing the seat mechanism, input 12v in the connector wired to the vertical motor rear side, the motor started making some noise but no movement at all...

So I disassembled the " differential" case of this mechanism, inside, the plastic gear was damaged, 3 or 4 teeth destroyed, making the screwing movement impossible.

So I screwed it back manually to the lowest tilt down position, closed the differential case, and its done,

Gained 1,5 inches of head room...

I just can't understand why using "plastic" gears on the mechanism...why not a durable metal???

Now i got to reset the airbag service light...any ideas?

Because it would have cost maybe $10 extra during production and GM (and all other manufacturers) is all about cutting production costs while raising the cost to the consumer.
