Just got new FORD KEYS --

Hey all,

Ordered (2) Ford keys from Parts.com. When I typed in the part no., three different "applications" came up. I think I ordered the ones listed under the F150/F250 application -- but, again, these options all came up under the same part number.

Given that they all came up under the same part number, I'm assuming I couldn't have gotten anything but the correct keys for lifting my '02 Tahoe. The ONLY reason I'm asking is 'cause I don't know what these SHOULD look like (and they just came in today).

The keys look to be the same SIZE as what I've seen posted somewhere here before (thickness and overall dimensions). But these are "hollowed out" in a couple places, and I thought I had seen these as solid pieces.

Having NO idea how these really go on the truck (I know where they go, but don't know what things look like inside where they go), I can't say that they're correct. I also can't say that they're NOT correct. It's just that when those three applications came up, well, it's gotten me wondering...

Mine look like this:

-@ 1" thick (almost)

-@ 7"-8" long

- porkchop-shaped

- hollowed out inside the rounded end in a 6-sided (what's that called again?) polygon shape

- hollowed out inside the tapered area in a triangular shape that follows the taper

Sound right? I want to install them this weekend, so any feedback is appreciated!

Silver -- hcvone is kidding. He, like me, doesn't keep ANYTHING stock. In fact, he usually goes overboard with the mods.

Don't get me wrong... He IS a loser -- just for completely different reasons.

Silver -- Yeah, but he has literally THOUSANDS between the different Corvette, BMW, and other sites where he moderates and is the go-to Zaino guy. He just recently bought an Escalade, but he's owned all kinds of Suburbans (and plenty of other vehicles) in the past.

But despite all of that (and the fact that he's a friend of mine outside of these sites), he's still a loser, so you weren't far off.
