HID's/Rigid SAE DOT Fogs

Hey all I know this has all been beat to death. Ive read over the HID headlight and LED fog postings and just had a couple questions still, if anyone can help me out. I ordered the morimoto 35w 5500k HID kit for my 15 denali. Just want to clarify it comes with everything I need to install and I don't need anything else. It should be just plug and play correct?

Also I ordered the Rigid SAE Dot fogs, the bracket for the 14-15 sierra and this harness...

Is this the correct harness I need?

Also reading about the install of the rigid lights, it says you have to cut plastic on the passenger side? Are there any instructions for this or does anyone have any pictures of it? I couldn't find any on the post. Thanks

It is PNP if you also got the capacitor link. 35W kits require it to help the LED DRLs function properly. If you got a 50W kit the the capacitor is not necessary.

For DOT pods, you have to cut out the portion of the fog light bucket where the OEM fog light mounts to the bucket. If you pull off the OEM fog light you'll notice the center of it is an "island" where it's got 3 points that the OEM fog housing mount, and the island mounts to the rest of the bucket at 3 points. This only becomes noticed if you pull out the plastic circle that surrounds the OEM fog housing.

The install of the rigid bracket is extremely easy.

I will say that installing the lights will become a lot easier if you are willing to remove the bumper. Is it necessary? Not at all. You can still do everything with the bumper mounted on the truck, however when I put on my D2 driving pods I managed to strip a screw, so I couldn't take off the plate when I went to change to DOT pods, so I pulled the bumper to make life easier, and boy was it a breeze changing them like that.

And yes, that's the correct harness. You'll cut off the HID ballast connector and replace it with the rigid ind connector

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I had it right. Do I have to order a rigid connector, or does it already come with the lights?

No, the pods will come with a rigid ind wire harness, so you'll cut the connector off of the harness and splice it onto your 5202 jumper

It also shows on the retrofit source, that the 35w comes with a capacitor link. Hopefully thats what I need.

That's what you need. I didn't check, nor did I get that kit when I switched to HIDs. I did 50W FXR retrofit when I did mine so just wanted to make sure you got the capacitor.
