I have plumbed in an auxiliary fuel tank, now my fuel gauge is not working correctly and my check engine light comes on, what is the correct way to solve this or is it something I must just live with?

I tried this with my Cab and Chassis also.

You'll have to plumb to the rear tank. Plumbing to front tank the sending unit in the front tank is reading full for too long causing the gauge to Error out.

With the dual tank system fuel is fed to motor from front tank and is pumped to that tank from rear tank with secondary pump when front tank gets low enough.

I know this may be an older thread but would one you gents happen to have a series of measurements on the aux tank? length/width/height by any chance? I am working on an 8.1 swap and looking at tank options for my truck

Thanks

Sean
