Midnight Edition Headlamps: Halogen Reflectors?

New guy here, just ordered a Silverado Midnight Edition (2LT, LTZ Double Cab) - my first GM truck.

 

Here's a question even my sales guy couldn't answer: in all the pics I've seen of the Midnight edition, the headlamps are the same and they're halogen:

 

 

 

 

Now according to this back end shot, it's an LT:

 

 

 

Now there's two types of halogen: reflectors and projectors. Chevy's online build site says you can only get halogen projectors with the LTZ, and that's what the Midnight pics look like....

So.....my sales guy sales says my truck is not an LTZ, it's a 2LT. BUT, all those Midnight pics sure look like LTZ-like halogen projectors to me. When I pointed this out to him, he didn't know and was confused as I was.

 

Anybody got a Midnight or know what the answer is?

The headlamps that come standard with the 2LT Double Cab is halogen reflectors. However, the Midnight Edition Double Cab comes standard with the halogen projectors.

BTW, if you go Crew Cab on the Midnight you get the LTZ, Z71 combo and those halogen projectors are already standard.

After reading some posts around here, I decided to grab one of the very, very, very few Midnight editions in the area, instead of waiting for a new one to be built and possibly missing out on the great incentives + lease pull-ahead deals going on this month. So I drove my new baby Beast home last night - damn, it is a smoking hot truck. And I have to say, having owned a Dodge Ram 1500 a few years ago, it's good to see GM putting a 1/2 on the road that is competitive with Ford and Dodge. They really did a nice job on it, inside and out. Plus, I just read the 2015 Silverado 1500 was best in its segment for quality in the latest JD Powers. Good stuff, GM.

Everyone talks about low number of Midnights but I see more of thoe than the Custom Sport that I have. Only seen one in person and none on here, but seen a few Midnights.
