2006 grille swap

I have a 2006 Silverado 2500HD. I was wondering if it would be a direct swap switching it to an 03 or 04 style grille?

No. You need a 03-04 hood as well

Well that's the thing my old hood had a dent in it so I ordered a new cowl hood online. I didn't realize till after putting it on it looks like a hood for an 03 or 04 because its not straight across in the front like an 06 would be. So instead of getting another hood, because I do like the one I have, didn't know if I could get an older grille style and do a direct swap since I do have the hood style for it
