Tap into OnStar Power for Dash Cam

Anyone tapped into the OnStar mirror power for a dash cam? If so can you post pictures? installation notes?

Nope, I just installed mine last week. I ran the usb cable for the cam up in the headliner it tucked in nicely. Then ran it through the passenger a-pillar and then through the dash.

Didn't want to touch the mirror power (mine is more complex with the driver alert system) and worry if I muck it up or it just fails on its own the dealer claims I mucked it up. Plus that is a right space to work and just easier (in my opinion) to run the cable to the right fuse box.
