A Bunch of Lug Nuts

Checked the lug nuts today on the truck. Spec is 140lbs all around. Can you guess what the torque was in the dealer installed security lug nuts??

 

60 lbs at best. Irritating as hell.

 

About 90% of the factory lugs were fine, the remaining 10% probably thrown off spec by the crappy dealer install. March on down to Sears and pickup a nice torque wrench and check it out for yourself.

 

In light of all the "vibration" posts I'd just like to point out, don't forget the Specs. Guess they have never seen the after effects of a wheel sheering off the bolts. If you want it done right....
